Bream Head Coast Walks is operated by the Pearson family - Claire, Mark and our children Clive and Eva.
We have lived in the area for over twenty five years, Mark working in the building industry and Claire as a teacher at our local schools.
We were motivated to start the business after experiencing other three day walks around the country and realising that we had the potential to do the same sort of thing here. We think that the beauty of our scenery, the depth of our history, the variety of wildlife and the friendliness of local people makes Whangarei Heads an undiscovered treasure.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us while getting our business started. We'd especially like to thank Di Stoppard for taking most of the photographs on the site, they are stunning, Mick Buckley for building the web site and David Monro for the bird photos and the beautiful aerial shot of Bream Head (on the Landscape page).
